 I will be talking! I will give information, highlight angles, ask questions, stop in specific points to reflect or ‘zoom in’. I will do a lot for you to not keep going through an issue in the same familiar lines you go through the subject on your own or when talking with friends and family.

Yes, I will. I think our primal carer relationships are the inprint that affects our behaviour and relationship patterns for the rest of our lives. Understandign these will help us change them.

Yes, and no. I will suggest things to try out, to play with, to experiment with, to practice. It will not be a list of Homework to fail or succeed in.

WHAT IF I DON’T DO MY HOMEWORK?

Exploring what happened with what we suggested to practice through the week IS the process. What was difficult, what didn’t work for you will give us valuable information of what stands in your way or what needs to be adjusted to be right for you. This is the difference between therapy and a self-help book.

HOW LONG WILL THERAPY LAST?

As long as you feel you benefit from it. It can be short, it can be long, but you will need to feel you get something out of it, you change, you progress, you are impacted by what happens in therapy.
